Hello everyone, if you are trying to loose weight and don't believe all the scams of loosing weight out there, please try this little recipe. Its as simple as its written. I did the experiment, I wondered about the claim, but decided that if I lost only 2 lbs, that is better than loosing no pounds. I just wanted to loose weight and I had mostly all of the ingredients in my fridge anyway, so here it goes.
The Basic Fat Burning Soup
1 can diced tomatoes
2-3 single green onions, chopped
1/2 bunch celery, chopped into 1/2 in. chunks or bigger
2 green peppers chopped ( I used yellow peppers)
1 pkge. Lipton soup mix ( I used 5 cubes of McCormick's all vegetable Bouillon)
1 litre of beef broth, unsalted or salted
4 cups water
2 cans of green beans
6 med-large carrots, peeled and chopped
1 parsnip, peeled and chopped ( I didn't have one, plus I don't like them)
Put all this into a large pot, add spices as you see fit, (just not anything prepared that includes any gluten or carbs of some sort)
Boil fast for about 10 minutes, then reduce to simmer until just tender.
Remove from the stove and eat.
- This soup can be eaten anytime you are hungry.
- Eat as much of the soup any day as you wish.
- This soup will not add calories.
- The more soup you eat, the more you will lose.
- Fill a thermos for you that are working outside of home and eat ANYTIME you get hungry!
Beverages allowed: unsweetened juices, tea, coffee, cranberry juice or water.
Very important to drink 6-8 large glasses of water every day.
Warning! -If eaten alone for indefinite periods of time, you may suffer malnutrition
Day One: Eat only soup and fruit today. Any fruit (Except Bananas) cantaloupe and watermelon are lower in calories that most other fruits. Lots of water.
Day Two: All vegetables eat until are stuffed with all fresh, raw or canned vegetables you want, try to eat green leafy vegetables and stay away from dry beans, peas or corn. Eat veggies and the soup. At dinner tonight, reward yourself with a baked potatoe and small amount of butter, spices if you like. Don't eat fruit today! Lots of water.
Day Three: Eat all the soup, fruit and vegetables you want. Do not have a baked potatoe or any bananas today. Lots of water.
(If you have eaten as above for three days with no cheating. You should find you have lost 5-7 lbs)
Day Four: Bananas and skim milk and soup. Eat at least three bananas and drink as much skim milk and you can today, along with the soup. Bananas are high in calories and carbohydrates, proteins and calcium today to lessen the craving for sweets. Lots of water.
Day Five: Beef and tomatoes. You may have 10 - 20 ounces of beef and can of tomatoes or as many as 6 fresh tomotoes today. Be sure you eat the soup at least once this day. Lots of water.
Day Six: Beef, veggies and soup. Eat until your hearts content of the beef and veggies today. Again be sure you eat the soup at least once this day. You can even have more than one steak if you like, with green leafy veggies. Lots of water.
Day Seven: Brown rice, soup and veggies today. Be sure to stuff yourself and eat lots of soup too! Lots of water.
By the end of the 7th day if you have not cheated on this diet, you should have lost 10 -17 lbs. If you have lost more than 15 lbs, stay off the diet for two days before resuming the diet again.
Begin again if you wish.
Notes: This diet is about eliminating the sauces, treatsy, snacky and premade tasty sweets we love so much. Be kind and pass them up! Any prescribed medication will not hurt you on this diet. Continue the diet plan as long as you wish and feel the difference mentally and physically.
DON'T EAT ANY bread, alcohol, carbonated or sweetened drinks, including no diet drinks or any fried foods.
DO DRINK PLENTY OF WATER- Drink at least 6-8 large glasses of water each day, this includes the combination of coffee, tea and unsweetened juices. Drink only skim milk on the day recommended.
This diet comes from the Sacred Heart Memorial Hospital. It is designed and used for patients who are overweight and need to loose weight fast.
