Taking a Few Stitches
I love a Dreseden Plate quilt right up there with Log Cabin quilts. This one is coming together rather slow, but its feeling very organic as I've slowed down and calmed my creative spirit.
Thanks to the movement of my followers or should I say to the "evacuation" of followers from this blog. I felt sad to see them go,but what can you do. I can't please or be attractive to everyone!
Life and art are not meant to be carved out daily like machines!
Taking the stitches as they come, watching them prance peacefully with happiness in their step across my work is a joy!
Go in Peace.
Your dresden plates are beautiful Caroline! I love them. Your diminishing numbers of followers may not be because they have left rather than a change of setting made by Blogger. They have made some changes which may result in followers no longer being automatically linked to your blog. You can read about it here...

I hope this helps! Christine x
Hi Christine,
DeleteThanks for the Buzz link and maybe its why! But I'm not in a dither about it either, only 7 left, so I'm not devastated or anything. People and taste change often online.
Beautiful work, I do some of my best work when I'm calm.
ReplyDeleteJanie, thanks for your solid support. Its not easy to do any quilting, never mind finish a book, make art etc etc. I totally agree with the SlowQuilting movement in North America, it fits my life well.
DeleteThis ist just beautiful.

Hi Sylvia!
DeleteThank you so much for dropping by and I've been slightly taken away from the King quilt, but will get back to it soon. I love dresden plates fans and this one is going to be quilting as I construct this quilt. Keep watch for that coming soon.
Cheers!
I lost some followers too over the latest online so-called change for the better. I figure some of the missing might miss me enough to find their way back.
ReplyDeleteMary Anne, that's the truth. They may find there way back. Thanks for commenting.
DeleteWhat beautiful blocks; I love the old fabrics being used to make them. Alternating the light and dark blocks is very attractive. I'm really loving this quilt because it looks like a quilt!
ReplyDeleteI thank you for expressing the light and dark blocks opinion. I want it to look like its antique.
