Hi everyone, I can see that everyone is a busy little elf right now!! Such fun! I decided to do a Year in Review as suggested by my son.  Burkley's Quilt  39 x 54 in. Bat Girl Goes Out 31.5 Square Clever Embroidery Series was a total hit. Wendys Quilts and More does beautiful cross stitch and so much more! I finally completed earrings and necklace in return for a donation of beads in turquoise from Zenia Rene. And I've continued writing my Artisan Crazy Quilts book due out in the New Year. I'll be joining up with Faeries and Fibres for her 2015 EPP Quilt Along.  i urge you to visit Karen's blog to see her mouth watering EPP goodness for any further encouragement to become a follower and join us. As I was constructing this last blog post of 2015, I learned that I've done a lot more quilting this year and that means my quality of life has improved as my doctor put it, less pain equals a happier Caroline. ...

Two Hour Quilt Possibilities

A few years ago I purchased a quilting book that I just had to have. I learned the authors techniques for stacking layer upon layer of fabric squares. Then slicing it and resewing the strips together. It was later donated to the local gift basket for new moms.  Since then, I've become more courageous about messing up and have sliced a second time and resewn strips a second time.  Its on the table again with another simple table runner. You can see I've made more than a fe...

Blues Three Hour Table Runner

We all love fast table runners and recently I decided to make up one of these fast runners. I mean fast! In fact I posted about this fast little runner in several older posts. So just to be familiar with how to get started, this is what you need. 1.     Start with 5 fat quarters, one the focus fabric, 2 light colors and 2 dark colors. Or in colors for an Arctic landscape as this mix of colors!! Using this same technique I made this awesome throw. My friend Anne became excited with quilting, then life suggested a different turn and so Anne asked me to make her a table runner from her fabrics and so this is the where the Blues Three Hour Table Runner came to be. I used Anne's fabrics. If you want to make one of my Two Hour Table Runner , but before you link up, please read on as I've learned a few more things about this technique that you'd value. I totally hate picking out a seam, UGH! But I do this on this block because its reall...
