I've happily picked out 16 colours for the triangle pieces for the MOTO QA with The Elven Garden  blog and Jen Kingwell.  I've been listening to CBC Radio from Canada on various topics and quietly hand cut my triangles. But this was not before I took a lengthy read through the tips on accurate hand piecing from  "Playful Patchwork by Suzuko Koseki " review from Playful Patchwork.    I've learned to be exact in cutting out the hand cut triangle pieces. The hand stitching of the piecing went really well, I'm quite happy with this first triangle. Then, all four came together in about 3.5 hrs of hand stitching. So not too bad in terms of length of time to hand stitch. The my camera went on the fritz! I love a round robin quilt-fest! You know where you gather a bunch of quilters, exchange fabric, except this is all online, isn't the Internet wonderful!! And you just make it and quilt along, yeh for quilt alongs. Midnight Over the Oasis by Jen Kingwell . This lovely quilt is the quilt I'm joining up with to make. I fell in love the first time I saw it somewhere on the Internet. Then you know how it goes, other interesting blogs came along and I forgot about it. Then I purchased July/August of Quilt Mania, my favourite quilting magazine. And there it was, the pattern to Midnight Over the Oasis.  This is my assortment of fabrics mostly from Art Gallery Fabrics . I've got a green chunk of Kaffe Fassett and Cloud 9 Organic Fabrics too.
